Becoming Official
Christmas Day we went out and had a few too many. We had a very short discussion during which in became clear that we are not exclusive. The exact words were, "I am not seeing anyone else now, but I am still looking".
I have mixed feelings about this development. On one hand, it always sucks to hear that someone wants to be free to shop around, but on the other hand that is exactly what I have been doing, so I am being a bit hypocritical.
The problem is, I have really started to like Match.com. I enjoy spending time with him, he makes me laugh and we have both a physical and intellectual connection. So, even though I am sure to get my feelings hurt by this one, I am going to continue seeing him and still pursue other possible relationships.

Multi-Tasking
Here is a quick run down:
The Attorney: Last week I met up with an e-harmony match who is an attorney. I got to the coffee shop early and was actually sick to my stomach. For some reason I was not looking forward to the coffee date. However, I was very suprised. We seemed to have a lot in common, he works for the city with child welfare. He was a theater major in college, before deciding to pursue a law career. He is funny and nice and we have another date planned for the Sunday after New Years, so he gets extra points for advanced planning!
PA: PA is another e-harmony match. We had finished the guided communication a while back and I had all but given up on hearing from him, when today I received his first email. I have written him back and we will see where it all goes.
There are three other people who I am in the early stages of communicating with, so there are potentially six men out there for me... not bad odds!
Match.com
Now I am wondering if there is a chance this will get more serious/exclusive.
First good sign: The other day we had our first real phone conversation. I had mentioned in one of my emails that I was having a crappy day and he called to check in and see what was going on.
Second good sign: He offered to make me dinner earlier this week and two days before he messed up his foot and ended up on crutches, not being able to put any weight on his right leg. He still went shopping and cooked me dinner- which was really sweet.
Thrid good sign: He asked me to spend Christmas Day with him.
Fourth good sign: On Thursday night, after our dinner my car got broken into outside his house. The driver's side window was shattered and my GPS was stolen. Because I was suppose to go over to his house again on Christmas Day he offered to come and get me, with bad foot and all, and let me borrow his car to go check in on my friend's cat, so I wouldn't be driving around without a window.
Stay tuned...

Tonight, I went to the party, not thrilled about going to a party alone where I didn't know anyone. When I got to the party Justin introduced me to his friends from Colorado and one of the guys, Miguel, looked very familiar. I thought that I was just being crazy but then Miguel mentioned to Justin that I looked familiar and immediately I knew where I had met Miguel. He was Ken's neighbor and the three of us had hung out together once or twice.
Such a small world.
